Many African countries are pushing forward rural electrification and regional power grid interconnection projects. West Africa, South Africa, Zambia and other regions are rich in solar resources, and a large number of distribution renovation projects supporting photovoltaic power stations are under construction. Local power grid infrastructure is weak, and numerous old distribution equipment needs replacement. There is strong demand for oil-immersed distribution transformers, pad-mounted transformers and outdoor prefabricated substations. Equipment is required to adapt to harsh outdoor conditions such as high temperature, sand and humidity, and comply with SABS and IEC standards.
