Driven by the renovation of aging power grids in Europe and America, expansion of renewable energy power stations and surging power consumption of AI data centers, global demand for distribution transformers and box substations keeps rising. Local overseas equipment lead time generally reaches 2–5 years. Chinese transformers are widely recognized in Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Southeast Asia with reliable quality, international standards (IEC/SABS/ANSI) and shorter delivery cycles. In H1 2026, China’s transformer exports maintained double-digit growth. Orders for oil-immersed transformers, dry-type transformers and prefabricated box substations increased rapidly, while the proportion of renewable energy step-up distribution projects continues to rise.
